WOW, so this happened today. Luxlock is now processing shopper registrations. Our fake website has been replaced with our actual platform. Thanks squarespace for the placeholder. We’ve just done grown up a bit.

All retail is not created equal. There are utility purchases and emotional purchases. There are price sensitive items and the items we throw price straight out the window. The selling process and shopper expectations are drastically different. Therefore, the software and technology solutions must also be very different. We’re not for everybody and we’re okay with that; we do what we do best for the people that care about it. We truly believe that we can be the difference between an advertisement and a customer smiling.

You will not be advertised to, instead you will be building a private preference center that is all about YOU as a WHOLE person. You deserve to be treated like a person rather than a piece of traffic.

Our first 500 shoppers will be invited to run beta with us as we onboard our first brands. You are part of our success, and will be there to keep us on track and might find a bug. Apologies in advance. Help us break it so we can make Luxlock better.

Personally, I have been an early adaptor of so many rad startups and have become emotionally attached to so many companies and services that instantly changed the way I run errands, flipping clothes, meet new friends, hail a cab, listen to music, think about bra’s and non-branded pantry items. I am incredibly glad to have been able to be there through all the up’s and downs of being a first mover/user. I’ve found a few bugs and followed up with an email. We could only be so lucky. I have also been mostly inspired watching Founders build companies that make a difference and challenge norms. It’s an exciting time and we’re pretty exited to go to market.

Luxlock does not sell anything to shoppers, we are merely software and technology that is designed to spoil shoppers and maintain a high standard of service while shopping and engaging with some of the best brands in the world.

The first feature is called Live-style chat because shopping online today is nothing like it is for a regular at Bergdorf Goodman. That experience is beautiful before you even cross the threshold. We feel shopping online does not have to be a self-serve experience. There is another way and shoppers should have a choice. We won’t spill all the beans on medium, we’d rather have a conversation.

We see a future very different than much of what you may be reading about. We passionately believe that there is an art to retail. That talent is just as important as consumers and the craft of making real products that last is worth a lasting experience. This more than fashion, it’s a lifestyle and value structure.

Would I have thought that it would take three years to get our MVP out the door. No, but it took 18 months x2 to have product that people really wanted and make sure it works. Shoutout to our epic advisory board, investors, friends, family and a ton of strangers that I am happy to be getting to know better. We appreciate the love you’ve shown. you’re all angels.
